The Blob Tree

As I often say, too much fun is never enough.

I also believe you can never have too many activity ideas or tools to invite your group to interact, share and build trust.

If you have been following me for a while, you will know my love for resources such as the We Connect Cards and UBUNTU Cards. I barely deliver a program that does not feature one or both of these props.

Today, I want to share a simple yet powerful resource called the Blob Tree. Luise, a playmeo member, recently shared it with me, and I thought you might like it too.

What is the Blob Tree?

The Blob Tree is a renowned reflection tool used in psycho-analysis to assess emotions and personality. In short, you can use it with your groups to help them dive deeper into their feelings.

It was created by the expert British psychologist, Pip Wilson, known for his work in experiential learning and emotional intelligence development, aiding individuals in achieving their potential and life balance.

This tool can be used with adults and children, having been scientifically proven effective for expressing and recognizing emotions in all age groups.

Consisting of 21 blob figures surrounding a tree, each representing various emotions, the fun graphic portrays different settings like schools, families, workplaces, or friend groups.

To use it, carefully observe the picture and select the blob person that best reflects your current state and resonates with you. Then, choose the person you aspire to become in the future.

In essence, the tool helps people to gain insights into their personality and desires by analysing their chosen Blob people.
