Not really.
It was one of a series of nonsensical words Mark Collard (founder & CEO) considered when he was looking for a name to call his new online platform of resources. It had to be less than 10 characters long (it is seven) to form a short domain name and it had to include or feature the word ‘play.’ The word playmeo happened to be available.
On occasions, the seven letters of playmeo have been turned into a variety of clever acronyms (eg People Learn As You Meet Entertain Optimise) – but it still didn’t mean anything.
