Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Ask each person in your group (or small teams of 2 or 3 people) to think of three true statements about themselves, with one of them being aspirational, ie a dream not actually experienced or fulfilled (yet.)
  2. For context, provide an example of three possible statements that are true for yourself, such as “I have travelled to Jamaica, I own a dog, and I have three sisters.”
  3. Explain that once the first volunteer has shared their three statements, the rest of the group will be challenged to identify which of the three statements is aspirational or the dream.
  4. When ready, invite your first volunteer to share their three statements.
  5. Allow a minute or two for the group to discuss and identify what they believe to be the person’s dream.
  6. Once this decision is locked in, invite the volunteer to reveal their dream.
  7. Allow a few moments for a short burst of chatter.
  8. When ready, invite the next volunteer to share.
  9. Continue play for 10 to 15 minutes, or when interest starts to wane.
